Welcome to Studio Art!
Studio Art is a prerequisite course in art that teaches the fundamentals of the Elements of Art and how to use a variety of mediums. Students will also learn about a variety of artists and cultures. This course is a graduation requirement and is a full year (1 credit) course. I have attached the course syllabus here for you all to review the expectations and the information we will cover this year.
**IMPORTANT**
Students should continue to use Google Classroom to check for new information and stay up to date on our current assignments if they are out of class for any reason. We are not submitting work through google classroom this year unless I have directed students otherwise. There are helpful, step by step guides and other materials listed for each new assignment that we do. All artwork needs to remain in class until it has been graded and returned to prevent any unfortunate mishaps or damage that may occur while transporting it.
I will post a showcase of student work below frequently throughout the year to hopefully entertain and inspire you! Check back often for new art!
STUDENT ARTWORK:
The paintings below are Abstract Watercolor Paintings my students made after studying Georgia O'Keeffe. These are just some of the many that were created. Enjoy the colorful abstractions!
