Finding Information about Your Topic

Opposing Viewpoints (Gale in Context)

Start here!
This is a great place to find information on many of the topics your class is studying. You can find news articles, research, opinion pieces, and more.

Global Issues (Gale in Context)

If your topic is more global, this is another good database to use. It works just like Opposing Viewpoints, but it focuses on international issues.

Google Search Tips:

When you use Google to search for information on your topic, you will need to make sure that you are using credible sources. How to Cite your Information:

Here are resources that can help you with citing your sources:

  • Purdue OWL: This online writing lab from Purdue University has tons of information about how to cite almost anything.

  • Citation Resources : The citation resources page of the WHS library.

  • Zbib.org: An online citation tool that can help you create citations from websites.
