Black Hawk-Grundy Mental Health Center partners with the Waterloo Community School District to offer in-school mental health services for students who are unable to receive this type of service outside of school, due to transportation, time, or other constraints. Success Street also offers services such as drug abuse educational groups, and partners with other outside agencies in order to provide your student with the service they need. Availability is limited so referrals must go through Ms. Jen first.
In collaboration with the Northeast Iowa Food Bank, we can offer students weekend food bags that are delivered to your child's classroom Friday afternoons. If you are in need of weekend food assistance, please contact the Highland main office at (319) 433-2630.
Cedar Valley Hospice offers school-based grief support for students dealing with a loss. The Eucalyptus Tree is a program that offers a minimum of six sessions, individually or in a group setting, with a grief mentor.
