Subject: WHS Updates – December 5, 2025
Dear Waterford High School Families,
I hope this email finds you well. Here are some reminders and updates about what is scheduled for the next few weeks:
Artisan Fair: WHS is hosting an Artisan Fair in the Fieldhouse on Sunday, December 7 from 10AM-3PM. Proceeds from the event go to support our very hard-working Lancer Leadership Council and all the events they help put on here at the high school. Please mark your calendar for a day filled with shopping, crafts for kids, pictures with Santa, and gift wrapping.
Holiday Music Concert: Celebrate the season at the WHS Winter Concert on Wednesday, December 10, at 7:30PM in the high school auditorium. Enjoy performances by the Jazz Ensemble, Symphonic Band, Chorus, Chamber Choir, and Chamber and String Orchestras. It’s always a wonderful evening of music, and we hope you can join us for this free concert. Tri-M Music Honor Society students will also be selling hot chocolate before and after the performance for $3 (cash only) as part of a student-led fundraiser. If you are unable to attend, the event will also be available via livestream. https://www.youtube.com/live/E7bnJnd-5wQ
PJ Day for the Kids: Since 2011, schools, businesses and civic groups across the state have worn PJs in support of kids at Connecticut Children's who wear their PJs for long periods of time while enduring treatment. To support this statewide initiative, WHS is accepting donations of $1.00 or more in exchange for the privilege of wearing PJs for the day on Friday, December 12. Become part of this fun and impactful event that has raised over $4.7 million dollars, funding vital childhood cancer research, clinical trials and care at Connecticut Children’s. You can donate using the link https://give.connecticutchildrens.org/fundraiser/6819949 or at the main entrances of the school.
Message from Women’s Empowerment: The Women’s Empowerment Club is hosting a Winter Clothing Drive to support families in need this season. They are collecting gently used winter clothing for men, women, and children, which will be donated to Waterford Youth Services. Donation boxes are located in the lobby outside the first and second-floor offices. Items accepted include coats, hats, scarves, gloves, and other warm clothing.
