Do you enjoy working with your hands, being innovative and creative? Are you interested in woodworking or making your ideas come to life? Does coding drones and autonomous vehicles sound like a good time? Would you like to create works of art using a laser engraver, 3D printer, or vinyl cutter? Do you find solving real world problems interesting? Do you want to be challenged? If you said yes to any of those questions then the FAB Lab @ Fox River Middle School is the place for you!

During your time in the FAB Lab, students will be able to learn, explore, and build products using the variety of equipment housed in the space. Through “on-the-job training” of the equipment, and using the design process students will be able to explore and solve real-world problems. Students will be doing group projects to complete tasks given at the skill level they have learned through exploration in class. Students will have the opportunity to work in all three spaces in the FAB Lab. They will be given the opportunity code and create in the coding area. Design, research, build and test their ideas in the project area and use their hands and the skills learned in the wood shop to fabricate a culminating project.
