TAFT SUMMER OPPORTUNITIES:
Waterbury PAL is pleased to announce that we are once again partnering with Summer@Taft to offer an outstanding summer academic enrichment opportunity for Waterbury students.

Summer@Taft (grades 7th-8th)
• Boarding program
• Scholarship-based
• Only 2 students will be selected
Program Overview: Summer@Taft is a five-week program held on the Taft School campus in Watertown, CT, focused on academic enrichment, leadership development, athletics & arts, and community building.
Program Dates: June 27 – July 31, 2026
Eligibility: Students entering 7th and 8th grade for the 2025–2026 school year.(Must be 12 years old by June 1st, 2026)
Scholarship Information: Two deserving Waterbury PAL students will receive full boarding scholarships, covering tuition, room, and board for the full five-week program.
We are encouraging your school’s eligible students to apply for this opportunity. Application instructions are available through Waterbury PAL, and interested families may contact us directly for next steps.
Additional Note:For students who are not accepted into the overnight residential program, their applications will automatically be considered for the Summer@Taft Day Program. Additional information regarding the day program will be released later this month.

Taft Summer Enrichment Academy (SEA)
(currently in grades 5th-7th)
• 5-week DAY program
• Monday–Friday
• No boarding
What is it? The Summer Enrichment Academy (SEA) at Taft, is a free summer program designed to support academic growth, enrichment, and engagement for Waterbury middle school students.
It is a four-week summer program focused on academics, athletics, and creative exploration. The program provides students with a structured, supportive environment to continue learning and developing skills throughout the summer months.
Who is offering? Waterbury PAL is offering to pay tuition and provide transportation to the program. *Must be a PAL member, you can sign up if you are not currently a member
When is it?
June 29 – July 24, 2026
How can I go?
Must be in grades 5–7
Must be a current Waterbury PAL member to apply
What to expect:
• FREE summer program for eligible Waterbury PAL students
• Transportation provided by Waterbury PAL
• Breakfast and lunch included daily
• Daily programming includes academic enrichment, physical activity, and creative exploration
Application Deadline: April 1, 2026
Must submit an application by April 1st to be considered
