[ ABOVE ] Grace Scantlin (10th) works on a sketch of a maple leaf and walnut. Her favorite medium to work with is watercolor and pencil and if she HAD to steal a famous painting, it would be Sunday Afternoon on La Grande Jatte by Georges Seurat.
[ ABOVE AND RIGHT ] Kennedy Thompson, also a sophomore, is sketching a plant. If she had a future career as a master art thief, she would steal The Starry Night by Vincent Van Gogh.
[ ABOVE AND LEFT ] Ashlyn Smith (11th) draws a Pop-it and Judah Martinez (10th) draw a tropical flower. Martinez says he would steal The Persistence of Memory by Salvador Dali, a surrealistic rendition of time portrayed in melting clocks. Smith's favorite medium is colored pencils, a technique she is perfecting in her Pop-it sketch.
[ ABOVE AND BELOW ] Landis Getty (11th), an Art 4 student, sketches a skull wrapped in fabric as part of a project studying shadows and folds in fabric. Getty would steal The Starry Night, a popular pick among students in both Art 2 and Art 4.
[ ABOVE ] Sophia Kop (12th), Art 4 student, adds color to her impressive sketch focused on fabric and light. If she had to steal a masterpiece, you could find her in The National Museum in Oslo plucking The Scream by Edvard Munch of the wall.
