As the weather begins to shift here in Boone, the warmer temperatures bring a progression in the environment.
Flowers bloom and the leaves on trees grow.Â
Here at Watauga, many of the landscaping begins to progress in this time.
We photographed the mountains above the football field, the trees in the parking lot, the rain garden, and the bushes in front of the aux gym.
Week 1 was the week of March 11th. During this time, the landscaping overall was very grey and no leaves or flowers were growing.

Week 2 was the week of March 21nd. During this time, the landscaping was still very grey and little to no leaves or flowers were growing.
The mountains above the stadium are beginning to get greener.
Buds are beginning to sprout on the parking lot trees.
The rain garden was still very dull.
The bushes in front of the school still have yet to bloom.
Week 3 was the week of April 23rd. Following spring break, the trees and flowers at Watauga High School had bloomed and overall, the landscaping was very green.
The trees about the football field have began to bloom.
The buds on the trees have bloomed slightly.
The plants in the rain garden have began to grow.
The bushes in front of the school have a small amount of leaves.
Week 4 was the week of May 7th. As we get closer to the summer months, the trees and bushes have bloomed completely. The landscape is very green and flowers are abundant.
The trees above the stadium have grown and bloomed completely.
The parking lot has bloomed completely, adding a greener appearance to the concrete.
The rain garden has began to sprout, but still has flowers to be grown.
The bushes in front of the school are covered in leaves.
