I have been teaching Art in Watauga County since 2015.  Before coming to Watauga I taught Art for 5 years in Wilkes County and 4 years in Ashe County.  I am originally from Mount Airy, NC and studied Art Education at Appalachian State University.  My husband, Ryan, grew up in Blowing Rock, NC and we have a son named Will.  We also have two cats, Stu and Luna.  I enjoy making art outside of school in the forms of functional pottery, drawing, and knitting.  I also enjoy hiking, reading, watching movies and tv, and playing tennis.
