Through Watauga High School's robust CTE programs, many students at WHS are able to graduate with certifications or training that they can take either to trade school or directly into the workforce. From classes on graphic design and food and nutrition to nursing and auto tech, the CTE department allows some students to pursue passions and hobbies, while others gain potentially career-defining knowledge.

"Look good, feel good," is what they always say. The students in the Cosmetology department at WHS learn everything from the complicated chemical processes of hair coloring to the techniques and safety used in nail design, and will use their knowledge to brighten people's days.
Welding
Much like how welding helps provide a stable foundation for any building or machine being constructed, the Watauga welding program gives these students a stepping for their future careers as the builders of society.
