Senior portraits will be accepted through an online portal ONLY. This means emailed photos or printed images that must be scanned in will NOT be accepted. Digital images will provide a much better image quality. We want to make sure your senior portrait has the best possible quality in the yearbook.
Last day to submit your senior portrait will be Friday, November 7th.
Please make sure your senior portrait meets the specifications listed below:
Please provide a head/shoulder shot
Student should be looking at the camera
No side profile portraits
No hands on face
No animals, hats, hoods, sunglasses, or other props that distract from the portrait
No distorted or overly edited images
Outdoor photos are accepted
School dress code applies to attire
Depending on the dimensions of your image:
Face should be within the top 2/3 of the image
Please provide some space around head to allow for proper fitting in the yearbook
Headshots should be at least 2.5 inches x 3.5 inches - any smaller will result in poor image resolution
IF YOU ARE UNSURE ON HOW TO CROP YOUR PHOTO, or if you are unsure if your portrait meets the specifications, the yearbook staff can help you!
PLEASE DO NOT OVER CROP YOUR IMAGE.
You can submit up to three images.
If you do so, please label each image as your first, second, and first choice. We will do our best to accommodate your preferences, but the final decision will come down to photo specifications and the space allotted to you.
IF SENIORS DO NOT SUBMIT THEIR OWN SENIOR PORTRAIT,
THEIR ASB PHOTO WILL BE USED IN PLACE OF THEIR SENIOR PORTRAIT
Why are hats not allowed in senior portraits?
Depending on how the student is wearing a hat, the following may occur:
The image may come out darker than expected, making half their face potentially very dark and hard to see.
Portraits are not printed on photo paper in the yearbook, which can change the image quality and lighting, as well as cause the image to appear darker, even though the image may not appear dark on your screen/monitor.
Yearbook staff will not edit photos in order to keep the integrity of the photographer's work. Yearbook staff will only crop images to ensure appropriate fit in the allocated space for senior portraits.
If you still choose to submit a hat portrait, and want it placed in the yearbook for your senior portrait, you must complete and return the "Hat Acknowledgement" Form. If this form is not signed by both students and parents/guardians, the hat photo will NOT be placed in the yearbook.
