In this course, you will be introduced to safety practices and tools like arc and oxyacetylene welding and soldering; materials like sheet metal and bench metal; as well as machines used in manufacturing like Computer Aided Drafting (CAD). Some manufacturing processes you will learn include automation, forging, and heat-treating. You’ll learn important communication and employability skills needed for the workplace. Exploring careers, theories, methods and techniques used in Manufacturing fields will be the focus of this course.
