We are "Sunset Strong" and we can do hard things. Our challenge this week is to finish strong. Complete all of your assignments and turn in everything that you need to. You can send pictures of what being Sunset Strong means to you and your family to Mrs. Moore at susan.moore@washk12.org. Our "Stallion Challenge" this week is from our PTA:

Dear Sunset Students and Guardians,

This week is Teacher Appreciation Week. Usually our room parents plan fun activities and gifts for us to show our appreciation throughout the week to our wonderful teachers. Unfortunately we have to do things differently and on a much smaller scale this year. This year, since we're all digital, let's send our awesome teachers some appreciation online! Please have your students write an email or make a video that you can email to their teachers. Let's make them see how much we appreciate them and love them! Please email your messages within this week, starting today, Monday the 4th, through Friday, the 8th. Thanks for your help in this!

April 27th-May 1st

Our "Stallion Challenge" this week is to do 3 acts of service. Think about something kind that you can do for someone else. Some ideas are to help a sibling clean their room, surprise your parents by doing the dishes, share a treat with someone, or write a thank you note to someone who has done something kind for you. Be creative and think up a way that you can show kindness to others.

April 20-24

Our "Stallion Challenge" this week is to get outside and enjoy the beautiful weather. Have your parents take a picture of you playing in your yard, drawing with sidewalk chalk, riding your bike, playing basketball, etc. Remember to follow social distancing guidelines and stay safe. You can send your pictures to Mrs. Moore for our Remote Learning student video.

April 14-17

Our "Stallion Challenge" this week is to have your mom or dad take pictures of you learning at home and send them to Mrs. Moore. She will compile them into a movie and share it on Bloomz. Some ideas are to share an art project you have completed, show off the instruments you made from Mrs. Winslow's class, share some of the STEM activities you have done, share pictures of you reading to your brother or sister, show us a real life math problem, share how you have your learning station set up with your Chromebook, etc.
