Materials:
BOOKS (can check out from media center: New Directions Book 1 (1st period Beginning Orchestra)
New Directions Book 2 and More Strings Extraordinaire (2nd period Intermediate Orchestra)
Instrument in fine, playable condition (correctly sized), including rosin, full bow hair, dust cloth, pencil, reading book
black concert polo (optonal $15 with school logo) for concert attire
Nice-to-Have Materials to Consider: rock stop, shoulder rest, extra set of strings, music stand, tuner/metronome, private lessons, mute, practice mute, solo and ensemble music, headphones, hand sanitizer
$12 Fine Arts Fee (WCSD fee for arts classes)

Saturday, November 13 at PVHS for Southern Utah String Festival
Thursday, December 9 at SRI Little Theater for Holiday Concert
Thursday, December 16 Fine Arts Week Assembly in gym (1st period only)
Thursday, Feb. 1 for SUPAF at DHHS (during school)
Thursday, Mar. 24 for Zion Orchestra Festival at HHS (1st period only)
Friday / Saturday, Mar. 25-26 Honors Orchestra (1st period nominations only)
Thursday, May 10 at DHHS for Final Concert
Solo and ensemble performances (in class) at the end of each quarter: Oct. 13, Dec. 21, Mar. 11, May 17
Talent shows (optional, in class): Sept. 16 and Apr 14
HR Fine Live Arts Performances (opt): Sept. 27, Nov. 29, Feb. 28, Apr. 11 (others as submitted recordings for virtual recitals)
