Intervention Team is a team of teachers and faculty that meet together to discuss specific needs of individual students. The needs can be behavioral or academic. The team's purpose is to identify ways to improve the behavior or academic success of the student and to provide resources and help to the teacher. When you come to the meeting, please plan to bring any data you have collected, progress monitoring, and information that will be helpful to address the needs of the student.
Please let Melanie Del Toro know if you have student concern that you would like to bring to the intervention team or sign up HERE
Intervention Team Process (questions that will be asked at Intervention Team Meeting)
o Based on data reflecting the Essential Standards and diagnostic testing.
o Research based (Does the intervention work?)
o Directive (the intervention is not optional for students)
o Timely… as many times a week as possible (4 times a week is better than 3)
Monitor learning every 2 – 3 weeks.
o Taught by Highly Trained people (the best person for the struggling students)
o Systematic (Every student who needs the intervention, gets the intervention)
