About Mrs. Winslow

I decided to be a teacher when I was in high school. I have loved music my whole life and want to share that with students and my community. I have taught since 2004 in all levels and areas of music. 

I also LOVE to perform on trumpet and horn. I performed in the 2002 Olympic Band, in the Tuacahn and the Utah Shakespeare Festival Pit Orchestras, with many famous artists, and in the 2022 Rose Parade. I am excited to perform in the Macy's Thanksgiving Parade this coming November. I was a Quarterfinalist for the 2023 Grammy Educator Award and I am currently honored to be a Quarterfinalist for the upcoming 2024 Grammy Music Educator Award. 

My  greatest love is my family. My husband, Mike Winslow, is the previous Desert Hills High band director and current Vice Principal at Sunrise Ridge Intermediate School. My oldest son is in his 3rd year of college, my daughter is in her 1st year of college, and my youngest son is in high school. They are my biggest joy in this world!

I love working alongside the students, parents and great educators at SCMS!
