Special Education Services

Overview:

WCSD ensures that, to the greatest extent possible, each student with a disability will be provided the special education and related services identified in the student’s IEP. There is no one size fits all guidance for providing services to each student. Services could range from online or virtual instruction, instructional telephone calls, other curriculum based instructional activities, or any combination of these strategies. Teams will be reviewing each student’s IEP to determine the student’s individual needs. If services cannot be effectively delivered using alternate methods, the schools resource team will meet to determine what services can be provided and how that will be done. Once school resumes, teachers will reconvene to address the impact on the student’s skills and consider necessary next steps. The case manager will be the point of contact for parents’ questions.
