Announcements

We are excited to send out our new website. We hope this website will be a place where you can access the practice music, rehearsal dates, and other announcements. We want you all to be excited about the songs we are singing and to be able to practice them when we are not together. You can access the music and Tuacahn Spring Sing choreography on the Spring 2023 slide presentation found on the Practice Music page. Simply click on the audio icon and sing along! 

Rehearsals will continue to be on Monday and Thursday mornings from 8:15-8:50. Any changes that are made to rehearsals will be updated on our Choir Calendar. We appreciate those who arrive early so we can start right on time. We also understand that there are circumstances that do not allow all of you to join us right away. We are so pleased that you come when you can. 

I am always looking for ways that you can participate in the creation process in preparations for our performances. Movement is one way I have found to do that. I would love to your input on the choreography for our numbers. Please practice any moves you would like to share with the group at home and then let us know when you are ready to share. 

I am also excited about all the solo opportunities that there are in several songs. I encourage you to practice at home and prepare for auditions. Auditions will be at the end of March (check the calendar for updates). I will let you know more about the details as we get closer. The songs that there will be solos are: We Don't Talk About Bruno, Rise Up, Fight Song and, possibly, Ain't No Mountain High Enough.

We are really moving and grooving this spring. We've learned several songs already and are working hard to learn the remainder of the songs we will be singing for our performance in May. We have also been practicing the Tuacahn music and dances for the Spring Sing scheduled on April 11 at 6:30. Remember to visit our Practice Music page to view the choreography at home. I am so impressed by your dedication and how enthusiastic you are at rehearsals. I absolutely love our time together. 

I wanted to make you aware that auditions for solos for Rise Up, Fight Song, and Bruno will be on Friday, March  24th by appointment only. Make sure you are practicing along with the practice music at home. If you would like help with the music before auditions, I can work with students during lunch time if you let me know. 

Tuacahn is quickly approaching, as well. Make sure you are attending choreography rehearsal during lunch on Fridays or practicing on your own at home.
