Be Book Dragon Reading challenge is a way for students to read books to earn a donut party and/or a field trip. Books read must come from the provided list. A lot of the challenge books are those recommended by the Children’s Literature Association of Utah (www.clau.org), and are also known as “The Beehive Award” books. Some books are considered classics. Please keep in mind that not all books are appropriate for all readers, but we hope all students will find new reading discoveries!
Students who at least 10 books individually will go on a field trip at the end of the year.
The first period class that reads the most will earn a donut party. There will be a donut party in January for the 1st semester and an in April/May for 2nd semester.
The challenge ends on April 4th. Books can be found at our library, online at soraapp.com, or anywhere they can get a copy of the book.
***Not all books are appropriate for all readers. It is up to the student and the parent to decide if a book is appropriate for a student. However, all books listed are appropriate for this age level.
