Welcome!
Thank you for taking over my classes today! I appreciate all you do for us here at SRIS. Below, I have lesson plans for each class that you will be covering today. There will be a hard copy of my lesson plans on my desk for you to read over.
If you have any questions or need assistance, Mrs. Gilman (room 501) and Mr. Stokes (room 502) can help you. I will have my phone on me in case of emergencies. My phone number is provided for you on my sub plans as well as in the guest teacher folder on my desk.

Sub Plans for Thursday April 23, 2026
PREP (1st Period) - is my Prep, so please enjoy your break.
Science (2nd, 3rd, 4th, and 5th Periods) - [click here] for today's slides for Science
Greet students at the door, remind them to read the board, and sit in their assigned seat.
Today the students will be watching a video called " What Darwin Never Knew." Here is the link: [click here]
They will need to fill out pages 21 and 22 as they watch the video. All the questions are in order and are time stamped.
The same slides are available on Schoology if you cannot access them; they have the video linked.
If anyone needs a mouse, they’re in the pockets hung up in the back of the classroom. Headphones are in the orange bin next to the window. Please make sure to remind them to put them back before class ends.
Have each class clean up 2-3 minutes before the bell.
STEM (6th Period) - This class is a mix of 6th and 7th grade.
Greet students at the door, remind them to read the board, and sit in their assigned seat.
This class will be silent reading today. Please do not allow them to use their Chromebooks to read on SORA.
Do not allow them to go to the Library or another teacher's classroom without a note or notice from them.
Have them put away and plug in their chromebooks and clean up anything left on the floor.
Homeroom - NO HOMEROOM TODAY
Please make sure all the Chromebooks are in the cart before the students leave the classroom. Please plug in the computers to charge before you leave, if the students did not do so already.

Today the students will be finishing the Evolution EdPuzzles on Schoology. They started them last week.
If anyone finishes early, please advise them to work on the Evolution quizziz review on Schoology.
