Mrs. Burns

I’m Sarah Burns, and this is my 12th year teaching at North Washington Elementary.  I previously taught 1st grade, 2nd grade, and K-3rd grade Remote Online Learning. 2nd grade is my favorite!  

I graduated from the University of Kentucky with a bachelor’s degree in Elementary Education and a minor in Spanish in 2012. In 2017, I graduated from the University of the Cumberlands with a master’s degree as a Literacy Specialist. In 2023, I became a National Board Certified Teacher. 

I live in Springfield with my husband, Matt, our son, Benjamin, daughter, Madeline, and our cat, Woodford.
