I am a proud wife (Mr. D, who loves to visit my classes with a treat when he can), mother of 7 and grandmother of 15. I am a hippie from Cali and yes surfing was one of my favorite things to do (when I was younger) along with, dancing ballet and tap, singing in choirs and I was a drummer in my high school band. 

Education: California State University Bakersfield, Bachelors of Arts Degree

Professional Experience: 15 years: Kindergarten, 1st grade, 3rd grade, 4th grade, 6th grade ELA, distance tutoring across the country. I have taught in California, Arizona, Texas and now Kentucky!

Professional Accomplishments: I was the choir director for my school in California for 3 years and taught reading and math strategies in PD classes for colleagues.

Hobbies/Interests: I love to craft (when I have time), I also am in the process of writing three books. I love traveling with my husband and playing with my three sweet pups that I absolutely adore, Maximus Aurelius, Hanna and Shadow.
