Private lessons are geared towards the band student who is practicing at home the majority of the week. Lessons are a way to provide enrichment to their school curriculum. They will study with a teacher who is proficient in their instrument and will lead them to advanced playing.
The structure of the environment is meeting with their instructor for 30 minutes, once a week, outside of the school day, in a studio setting to practice. They will learn new warm ups, play upper level literature, prepare for auditions, prepare for solo and ensemble festival, and learn to make their own reeds (oboe/bassoon).
Contact an instructor below, to set up a meeting time that fits your schedule. Talk with them about how much it will cost and where their studio is located.
The staff at Washington fully endorses this panel of instructors. They are well educated, excellent performers, experienced and their philosophy of music education will collaborate with that of the Washington Middle School and High School Bands.
