Spelling Concepts continue this week. Your child will get a paper copy, and I will email you the list the first day of the week. There are also some red words on the list too for practice.

Math- We continued our measurement and time unit. We are studying area and perimeter. Multiplication flashcards will be coming home every Tuesday and Thursday.
Reading: We are continuing our group novels in our reading group! Story elements, comprehension, science of reading practice everyday, starting with 2 one minute reads this week, breaking apart words, spelling words and reading them, guided reading groups
Paragraph Partner Reading- We will be starting a reading intervention for everyone next week to improve our reading fluency!
Grammar: Common, Proper and plural nouns
Writing: Starting procedural writing, continuing sentence structure, punctuation, and paragraph writing with a strong topic sentence and supporting details.
Science: Mystery Science, continuing animal traits
IXL-We practice everyday our recommended skills that our individual learning plans provide. We switch ELA and Math.
XTRA Math- Third graders are working on their math facts on this program-strictly math facts!
*Red Folders are home folders-please check for these everyday. Keep papers at home or return to school, depending on which pocket papers are in.
*Assignment Notebooks come home every day, please check and sign or initial for homework completion. Please send assignment notebooks back to school with your initials or with a signature.
*Homework for right now is to read for 20 minutes.
*We have 2 snacks a day.
*Water bottles are welcome with secured tops. Water only please:)
*No Stickers in or on lockers, or desks. Magnetic items are allowed in lockers.
