Waseca Drama Department

What is the Waseca Drama Department?

Waseca Drama Department is a new booster program whose mission is to provide encouragement, mentorship, volunteerism, along with marketing and financial support to continue the theater program at Waseca Junior/Senior High School and the City of Waseca as a whole. This 501(c)3 will act as a fundraising entity for the Waseca High School theater program (think Band Boosters for the Marching Jays)!

Why start a non-profit for the theater program?

Theater is expensive. Between licensing, set design & building, costuming, props, and salaries, it all adds up! The Waseca Public School district is generously providing funding to assist with a musical every other year, however, we believe that there is interest and hunger for the students to produce a musical every single school year.

What do the funds do?

Additionally, we are implementing a $50 Membership Fee for all Waseca Drama Club students who plan to participate in high school theater productions, Waseca Drama Club activities, and events. This fee will contribute to the following missions and expenses that the Waseca Drama Department covers:

How do I get involved?

Donate! Or, fill out the form below! We're always searching to fill positions (paid & volunteer) to assist with sets, costumes, hair, and more.

Who can I contact to learn more?

This initiative is headed by Anna Pollock, the Theater Director for the Waseca Junior/Senior High School theater department. You can reach her at pola@waseca.k12.mn.us
