How and What To Backup on your School District Computer.

From time to time we have to swap out school computers. This can happen at the end of a lease or for technical reasons. Items that are on your computer and not in the cloud or the district server are your responsibility to backup. Hopefully this page will help in those circumstances.

Unfortunately, there is not a cut and dry answer to this question. It depends on how you use your computer. Below is a video to help you decide what files to backup.

Your 3 Best Options for Backup

    • Advantages: Simple; Quick

    • Disadvantages: Can get lost; Can get corrupted

  2. Backup your files using the H: drive.

    • Advantages: Fairly Simple; Quick

    • Disadvantages: No access from home

  3. Backup your files using Google Drive.

    • Advantages: Available anywhere; Google

    • Disadvantages: Takes more time
