Meet Mrs. Colino

Welcome to my website!  My name is Lisa Colino.  I grew up locally in Millersville, where I graduated from Penn Manor High School.  After high school, I went to Temple University and majored in Elementary and Early Childhood Education.  Shortly after I earned my undergraduate degree, I began working on a masters degree.  In 2003 I finished  my masters degree in Reading from Millersville University and earned a Reading Specialist Certification.  My first teaching position was at Manheim Township School District where I taught 6th grade computer science.  In addition to teaching, I also coached Jr. High field hockey (98-05) and Varsity swimming (98-99) for Warwick.  In 1999, I began teaching at Kissel Hill in 6th grade.  I've taught 6th grade at Kissel Hill almost my entire career, however, one year I served as a Reading Specialist at Lititz Elementary.

My husband and I live in a neighboring school district and we have two sons, Jase and Julian and a dog, Luna.   As a family we enjoy swimming, riding bikes, playing soccer, and spending time with cousins.  Outside of teaching, I enjoy spending  time with my family and friends, traveling, exercising, and reading.
