Mrs. Cooper's

Kindergarten

Welcome to my teacher page! I've got a few helpful tabs that can provide quick information on some of the most often needed stuff from my classroom.

A little information about me...

My name is Marcie Cooper. I am a native of Warsaw, Indiana. I graduated a very long time ago from Warsaw Community High School, Indiana University and earned my Master's Degree at Olivet University. I have been teaching kindergarten for 20 years and I LOVE it. I am married and have two grown married children. I am a Nana to five amazing grandchildren, Jude, Jentzen, Joscelyn, Hudson, and Haydayn and one hairy child, a cocker spaniel named Remington! I am honored to be a part of your child's early educational experience. I look forward to an amazing year of excitement in learning, growing and having lots of fun memorable moments together!

Cooper's Cub House Behavior Plan

Class Rules:

  1. We are friendly, helpful, and kind to one another.

  2. We raise our hands to speak/

  3. We sit quietly at our seats and/or our designated spot on the carpet.

  4. We keep our hands and feet to ourselves.

  5. We keep ALL the Jefferson School Rules.

Each student has his or her name on a clothespin on our behavior clip chart. When students make good choices, clothespins are moved up; not so good choices, clothespins are moved down. If the student's clothespin moves all the way to OUTSTANDING and remains there until the end of the day, the student will pick a jewel to be glued on the clothespin. When they earn five jewels, they get to pick a prize out of the prize basket. If the clothespin is moved down two times within a day, consequences such as a time out, contact the parent and/or office could occur. Each day, the clothespin will start at "Ready to Learn!"
