WCS follows a 90-minute literacy block. We start off the day by teaching a reading mini-lesson for 15 minutes. After that, we have literacy stations and guided reading groups for 60 minutes. We then share as a class and have our interactive read aloud, shared reading, and phonics time for 15 minutes.
