What instruments are in the Orchestra?

From highest sound to lowest sound, the orchestra instruments are Violin, Viola, Cello, Bass.  Any person can play any instrument!  The most important question is - which one do you enjoy listening to the most?  If you like how your instrument sounds, then you will enjoy learning how to play it!

Click on the Playlists or Videos below to hear each instrument.

VIOLIN

VIOLA

CELLO

Not sure which instrument to choose? Did you know...

YOU can TRY the Orchestra/Band instruments!

Try all the instruments before you decide!

There will be an event in April where all students will have the opportunity to try all the orchestra & band instruments. We call this process an "instrument fitting." At the conclusion of the fitting, we will have a recommendation for each student on what instrument would be appropriate to choose. It is FREE, will take approximately 15 minutes, and you will be AMAZED by your ability to play an instrument.

Your instrument recommendations will determine if you join the orchestra or band class.

How do I get an instrument?

Please DO NOT buy an instrument from the internet. You might accidentally end up with a poor quality instrument. Poor quality instruments are actually harder to play. If you decide to play an orchestra instrument, Ms. Dieleman will help your family members acquire an instrument. Renting an instrument from a trustworthy music company is highly recommended.

A High-Quality instrument will allow your student to make High-Quality music!

PARENTS: Please read the "Why Rent?" Document to find out more information!
