In my classroom I start out with a quick math review/ number talk. From there we do a 20-30 minute mini lesson with the whole class. Then, we do rotations where you are broken up into 4-5 groups and you are working on specific skills for your group at each rotation. Your rotation can be anywhere from 12-15 minutes long! To finish our math time we go to Success where you take a test to determine what skill you are in. Your success group is not always in my room! You may get to be with another teacher learning a skill that best suits you!
