Writing Prompts

Good job getting all of your work done! Now, are you ready to flex your creative muscles? Check out these writing prompts to help you start the writing process!

The alphabet Challenge

In the alphabet challenge you can write about anything! It can fiction or nonfiction, that is up to you. BUT, here is the catch: each sentence has to start with the next letter in the alphabet. Here is an example: A dog ran after his ball. Billy, his owner, shouted, "Come back Rover!" Come back, he did not. Down the street he ran.

Trapped!

Imagine this... you head to the zoo to see your favorite animal. Everything is going great until you realize you haven't seen anybody in awhile. You try to leave, but find out you are TRAPPED in the zoo overnight! What happens while you are stuck in the zoo with no one around?

Picture This...

Picture you are at the location in the picture to your left. Create a story about what would happen. How did you end up there? How are you feeling about being there? What could go wrong there? So many questions to answer!

Do you have an idea that would make a great writing prompt? Write it down and send it to Miss Reed! You never know, your idea might just end up on our class website.
