WCS follows a 90-minute literacy block. Here is an outline of what our reading block might look like for the day. 

(5 Min) Class Meeting and Introduction

(25 Min) Interactive Read-Aloud and Share Reading

(10 Min) Reading Minilesson

(50 Min) Guided Reading Groups and Independent Reading

Writers' workshop, grammar, and spelling will be taught during our writing block/switch.
