Eisenhower Communication

We will be keeping our families connected and informed through various modes of communication.

Social Media - Follow us on FaceBook, Twitter, or our Eisenhower school webpage to see media releases such as reminders for upcoming events, celebratory news, learning and excitement within our classrooms.
Weekly Update - You will receive a weekly update via text and ParentSquare email to highlight upcoming events and any important information for the week.
Newsletter: A monthly newsletter will provide the important information and highlights for upcoming month.
Eisenhower Google Site: This site will provide big picture information for our building.
Day to Day Contact: You can contact our office to ask questions or find out information that may not be shared through technology. Our phone number is 574-269-7440.
Teacher Communication: All of our teachers use ParentSquare for communicate to families. You will know what to expect as your child's teacher(s) share information with families at the start of the school year.

Arrival and Dismissal Procedures:

Arrival

Bus - Parents should chaperone their child(ren) at the bus stop prior to the designated time of pick up. The bus students unload and enter at door #1 in time for breakfast. Please communicate with your child if he/she is to eat breakfast at school.
Vehicle - Before school on Monday's (9:40-10:00 am) and Tuesday-Friday (8:40-9:05 am) the drop-off vehicles turn into the back entrance of Eisenhower Elementary.
The dual lanes at the back entrance will allow more cars to filter off the road and assist with the traffic flow. Please alternate cars from each lane as the lanes merge back into one lane for student drop-off.
Upon entering the drop-off curb, please pull ALL the WAY up in the line to drop your child at the curb with our curb staff. Parents should not get out of the vehicle, please let our staff help your child out of the car.

Dismissal

Bus - Students will be picked up at door #1. They will dismiss between 3:50 and 4:10 pm daily. The front drive is reserved for bus dismissal. Parents will not be allowed into the front drive after 3:30 pm to ensure the safety of our students.
Vehicle - Our afternoon dismissal does take a little extra time the first week of school, please be patient as we smooth out the process. Your help in following the procedures and having a registered CarRider Pro tag displayed in your rearview mirror will make the system run as smooth and quick as possible. If you have lost your card, please contact the front office to purchase a new CarRider Pro tag.
