During my reading block, we will have 60 minutes of guided reading, 15-20 minutes of Interactive Read Aloud (FPC), and 15-20 minutes of Phonics instruction. Additionally from all that reading practice, we will have 30 minutes of writing! We work HARD in Kindergarten.

These particular set of skills are developed over the course of the year. Our reading curriculum is Fountas & Pinnell Classroom, where we are given high quality picture books to develop their thinking and reading strategies.
