7th Grade

Policies & Expectations

Homework Policy

Seventh grade can be a big transition. As a general rule, there will be homework at least two or three times each week in one or more classes.

With so many classes and teachers, homework can become confusing and/or easy to forget by the time you get home from school. Therefore, you are expected to write homework assignments in the Student Agenda each day.

Late Work Policy

All students are given plenty of notice to complete work on time. Therefore, the policy for late work is as follows:

· All work is expected to be turned in on time.

· All work turned in after it has been collected is considered late.

· All late work will receive one-half (1/2) credit up until the test day.

· All homework turned in after the test day will receive a zero in the grade book for that assignment.

Make Up Work Policy

We realize illness can strike all of us. If you miss class, you must complete the make-up work. It is your responsibility to get your work from your teacher the day you return to school. Students have the same number of days to make up work in which they were absent. (i.e. If you miss three days of class, you have three days in which to make up the work).

Behavior Policy

Each student will receive a copy of the school rules/expectations and consequences. It is our policy to adhere to these rules and consequences fairly and strictly. Please read the Student Handbook located at the beginning of the Student Agenda. If you have any questions, please see one of your teachers.

Extra Credit

Extra credit will be given at the teachers’ discretion dependent upon the curriculum and will relate directly to the curriculum.
