Principal Message

Raider Families,

As we welcome the month of October, there is a great deal to be excited about at our school. Fall is a special time of year, filled with cooler temperatures, school traditions, exciting activities, and many opportunities for our students to grow and succeed. Our students and staff have been working hard, and it is rewarding to see that effort reflected throughout our school and community.

One of the highlights of October will be our Fall Break, October 5–9. I hope our students, staff, and families take advantage of this time to relax, recharge, and spend quality time together. A well-deserved break provides everyone an opportunity to return refreshed and ready for the second half of the semester. When we return, we will have plenty of important work and exciting opportunities ahead.

Our fall extracurricular activities are also going strong. Our students continue to represent our school with pride through athletics, clubs, organizations, and other activities. As our fall sports teams prepare to enter postseason play, we want to recognize the dedication, hard work, and commitment of our student-athletes and coaches. We encourage our school community to continue supporting our teams and activities as they compete and represent our school. The lessons learned through teamwork, perseverance, leadership, and commitment are just as important as the results on the scoreboard.

We are also excited to host Track or Treat on October 29. This special community event will provide an opportunity for children and families to come to our school and enjoy a safe, fun Halloween experience while trick-or-treating around the track. We are excited to open our doors to the community and create a fun evening for local children and families. We hope everyone will come out, enjoy the festivities, and help us make Track or Treat a great new tradition for our school and community.

As we move through October, I encourage every student to stay focused on their academics, take advantage of opportunities to get involved, and continue to make positive choices each day. High school is about much more than what happens in the classroom. It is about building relationships, developing character, discovering interests, and preparing for life beyond graduation.

Thank you to our students, staff, families, and community for the continued support you provide our school. I am proud of the way our students continue to represent our school, and I look forward to all that October has in store. Go Raiders!

PARENTS!!!! You have the opportunity to help Warren East High School receive more state funding and it won’t cost you anything.

If you have not.....please take a few minutes to complete the HIF (Household Income Form). No one from the school sees the information that you provide. However, we can receive funds as we are credited for your participation.

It is especially important to complete the HIF if you have received direct government benefits in the past, even if you are not currently receiving them.

The Safety Tipline, Online Prevention or S.T.O.P Tipline is designed for use as an "online" reporting/prevention tool. If students, parents, or community members know of an unsafe situation in school (bullying, weapons, drugs or alcohol, etc.), they can anonymously pass on that information to school personnel by using this basic email format.

United Way of Southern Kentucky’s (UWSK) 2-1-1 program is a great resource for those who need a little extra help. No matter the needs such as housing/shelter, food, utilities assistance, support groups, employee assistance and more, UWSK’s 2-1-1 team is available to help connect area residents with available community resources. Upon receiving calls from community members, the 2-1-1 team accesses various databases of resources and connects the callers to the appropriate agencies to receive assistance. To access the line, simply dial 2-1-1.
