Principal's Message

Raider Families,

As we enter the month of December, I am reminded of how quickly this school year is moving and how much our school has already accomplished together. We have three weeks left in this semester and January will bring new classes and new opportunities.

December is a wonderful time to recognize the progress our students are making—academically, socially, and emotionally. Whether it’s mastering new concepts, strengthening friendships, or contributing to our school culture, your growth is inspiring. I encourage everyone to finish the year strong while also making time to rest, recharge, and enjoy special moments with family and friends.

We do want to take a moment to recognize our students on the growth we have made, as a school, on the state assessments. Our KSA scores increased 15.1 points this last year. Our school went from a 59.1 to a 74.2 and we are considered a green school. We are so excited for our students and teachers and we appreciate the hard work they put in each and every day!

Continuing with assessments, we will have finals the last week before Christmas Break. Seniors, who are graduating early, will take their finals on Monday and Tuesday of that week while the rest of the school will take finals on the last three days of the week. In January, we will start new schedules and new classes.

As we look ahead to winter break, please remember to take care of yourselves, stay safe, and cherish the opportunities this season brings. When we return in January, we will begin a fresh chapter full of new goals, challenges, and exciting learning experiences.

On behalf of our entire staff, I wish you a joyful holiday season and a peaceful, restorative winter break.

The Safety Tipline, Online Prevention or S.T.O.P Tipline is designed for use as an "online" reporting/prevention tool. If students, parents, or community members know of an unsafe situation in school (bullying, weapons, drugs or alcohol, etc.), they can anonymously pass on that information to school personnel by using this basic email format.

PARENTS!!!! You have the opportunity to help Warren East High School receive more state funding and it won’t cost you anything.

If you have not.....please take a few minutes to complete the HIF (Household Income Form). No one from the school sees the information that you provide. However, we can receive funds as we are credited for your participation.

It is especially important to complete the HIF if you have received direct government benefits in the past, even if you are not currently receiving them.

United Way of Southern Kentucky’s (UWSK) 2-1-1 program is a great resource for those who need a little extra help. No matter the needs such as housing/shelter, food, utilities assistance, support groups, employee assistance and more, UWSK’s 2-1-1 team is available to help connect area residents with available community resources. Upon receiving calls from community members, the 2-1-1 team accesses various databases of resources and connects the callers to the appropriate agencies to receive assistance. To access the line, simply dial 2-1-1.
