February 27, 2026
Happy Friday, Tiger Families!
We hope to see everyone tonight for our Sweetheart Dance from 6:00–7:30 PM!
We also want to wish our 4th/5th Academic Team the best of luck as they compete in the Regional Governor’s Cup tomorrow at Lincoln Elementary. Additionally, good luck to our 4th–6th Grade Beta students as they compete at the State Convention next week in Lexington. Next week, we will celebrate Read Across America Week with the following dress-up days:
Monday: Dress Like Your Favorite Book Character
Tuesday: Wear Something That Represents Your Favorite Place to Go
Wednesday: Wear Your Favorite Sports Gear
Thursday: Wear a Hat
Friday: Wear Your Pajamas
It’s going to be a busy, but awesome week at CTE!
FYI:The School Smiles dentist is returning to our school soon for dental cleanings. If you missed the dentist’s first visit, there is still time to get your student signed up for our upcoming visit! Please visit https://schoolsmiles.com/student-signup/ to sign-up today! A new form needs completed each school year to remain in the program, but if you have already completed a form for the 2025-26 school year, you do not need to sign-up again. School Smiles accepts Medicaid, private insurance, and offers self-pay rates for those who may be uninsured.
Important Reminders
The Household Income Form (HIF) can now be completed electronically. Regardless of income, every WCPS family needs to complete one form per household. Please know that completing this form directly impacts the funding your school may receive to expand student opportunities. You can find the form here: https://bit.ly/WCPSHIF.
