Mrs. Daniels Weekly Message
Hello Henry F. Moss Dragons!

I pray this week's Parent Newsletter finds each of you well.  We have had an amazing start to our year.

Please continue to check the newsletter as information is added to it on a regular basis.  Under the CALENDAR OF EVENTS TAB, you will find The Weekly Core Events that lists all of the activities that take place each week at Moss - - academic events, athletic events, etc.

While the year has started off well, we need your help to ensure that your student is completing all of the work that is assigned so that they have met all qualifications to be promoted to the next grade level at the end the of the year. Incomplete and missing assignments are beginning to add up.  We will be contacting you by phone and possibly in person as we deem necessary to ensure that your student has the supports necessary to be successful and to achievement at the greatest potential.

Please continue making sure that your student is in school and on time every day in addition to completing all assignments.

Please check your student's grades on Infinite Campus to stay up to date.  If you do not have access to Infinite Campus or do not know how, contact our Guidance Department - - Natalie Burchett.  If your student is not performing, feel free to contact teachers as well as myself.  It is our goal to partner with each of our families in an effort to help students meet their academic goals.  In addition, have your student read at least 30 minutes every day to strengthen their reading ability.

If you have not completed the Healthy Kids Clinic paperwork that is used when seeing our school nurse, please do so as soon as possible.  Contact the school, if you are unsuRe how to proceed.

Please follow the link below to view the information regarding Warren County Public Schools providing a safe learning environment for the students, faculty, and staff - - KRS 508.078 (Terroristic Threatening).

If you have any questions or concerns and/or if you would like to volunteer in anyway, please feel free to reach out to me via email - rita.daniels@warren.kyschools.us or call at 270-843-0166.  In addition, keep up to day with activities and events by following us on Twitter @HenryMossMiddle and @HMMS_Counseling.

Student Attendance

Please help us by monitoring your student's absences.  Please login to the Infinite Campus Parent Portal to receive updates on your student's attendance and grades.  If you are unable to access the Portal, contact the Guidance Office .

Here are a few reminders about attendance:

An unexcused event can be an all-day absence, a late check-in, or an early check-out

Once a student reaches 3 of any combination of those listed above, they will receive contact from our attendance Liaison.

Once a student reaches 6 of any combination of those listed above, their name is turned over to the truancy officer.

Once a student reaches 9 of any combination of those listed above, truancy can be filled in court.

Also, a student may lose their right to prom, graduation, driving, etc if they obtain 9 or more

Students are allowed 7 parent notes and 10 doctor notes each year and they must be turned in within 5 days of the absence

Household Income Form

The Household Income Form (HIF) can now be completed electronically. Regardless of income, every WCPS family needs to complete one form per household. Completing this form directly impacts the funding your school may receive. You can find the form here:  /bit.ly/WCPSHIF.
