U.S. News & World Report has released their annual rankings of elementary schools and has ranked Plano Elementary as the #1 elementary school in Warren County! You can read about this recognition here.
It is a priority of Plano to ensure that parents/guardians feel connected and informed about the progress of your Panthers. I hope you will be able to join us for our parent engagement day on Monday (11/3) so your teacher can have a one-on-one conversation about your Panther's growth this year. If Monday does not work with your schedule, please reach out to your teacher and we can find an alternate time.
Congrats Panthers on hitting our attendance goal of 96.5% for the 1st quarter of the school year! Our school-wide attendance rate was 96.58%! Attendance is one of the most critical components of education as students lose valuable learning opportunities if they are not here. Thank you for making attendance a priority!
Two weeks ago we had an intense competition between our three houses: Kawani, Hekima, and Siker. Each house participated in several relays and competitions. At the end of the day Hekima moved ahead in our House Cup Challenge. Students can earn points for their house by earning panther paws and positive office referrals. This challenge lasts all year and the point total is very close!
We are collecting aluminum cans for a recycling contest with the Recycling Society. Plano will receive all the proceeds that result from the recycling of cans we provide. Bins are located outside the cafeteria next to the car rider line.
We are inviting any veterans of our armed forces to attend our Veterans Day Program on November 11th at 9am. Please RSVP on this form.
Save the Date: November 20th 🦃
Our Thanksgiving Lunch is coming up on Thursday, November 20th! RSVP forms and payments are due by Friday, November 7th.
Adult tickets: $6.00
Children under 18: Free
We can’t wait to celebrate this special tradition with our Panther families! 💛

These activities are not sponsored, supervised, or endorsed by Plano Elementary or Warren County Public Schools. We share this information as a courtesy; please contact the specific organizers directly for details and registration.
Families can help us easily gain more federal funding by completing the household income form. A large portion of our federal funding is provided based upon the information collected from this form. This year we have used federal funds to add an extra teacher position to lower class sizes and prevent any combined-grade classes. I completed the form myself and it only took a few minutes. Please contact our Family Resource Coordinator, Emily McQueen, if you have any questions.
If you would like to send in an attendance note please send to Amber Beil at: amber.beil@warren.kyschools.us
If you need to make a transportation change please send to Plano transportation before 2:00 at: plano.transportation@warren.kyschools.us.
PTO has created a fundraiser where you pay $10 to have your child's name displayed on our electronic sign on Plano Rd. Click here for more information.
