I'm sure our Panthers are enjoying their long summer break! It is hard to believe we've been out of school for almost two months, and we still have another month until our first day of school. Our staff have enjoyed time off, but the team has also been busy making preparations for next year. Our custodians have already waxed and deep cleaned every classroom. A team of admin and teachers attended the ISTE+ASCD Conference and have brought back inspiration and new teaching strategies for our Panthers. Many teachers have spent days in their classroom preparing for the new school year. 

While there are still a few weeks until the new school year, I want to make sure parents feel prepared for the school year. Below are some important updates. Please reach out to me if you have any questions... ben.frasier@warren.kyschools.us.

There are two important events specifically for our incoming kindergarten students:

• Kindergarten Screening - July 30, 4pm-6pm

  • Every incoming Kindergarten student is required to complete a Kindergarten screener. This is a brief assessment that will help us determine Kindergarten readiness levels, and create class lists.. Sign up for a time at https://bit.ly/26planokinder.

• Kindergarten Jump-Start - August 4, 8:30am-11am

  • Jump-start is an opportunity for our kindergarten students to experience a mini- school day before the official start of school. Students will spend the morning learning classroom procedures in a fun way that makes them excited for the first day! Parents will drop off and pick up students in the car rider line.

All families are invited to meet their teacher at Open House on August 10th, 5pm-7pm.

Our enrollment is looking to be one of the largest in our school's history. The goal for creating class rosters is to make each class of similar caliber so that there are equal learning opportunities for every class. I am often asked if parents can make a request for their child's teacher or for friends to be placed in their class. I am always happy to listen to parent concerns, but I cannot commit to honoring parent requests because it is impossible to honor every request.

In May our teachers looked at our current enrollment and gave feedback for the 2026-2027 class rosters. Our admin team will review and finalize the class lists in August and parents will receive an email with their child's teacher on August 7th.

For parents of twins or siblings in the same grade: Email Mr. Frasier if you have a preference for whether your children should be in the same homeroom in 2026-2027.

Our front office will be open on Tuesdays and Thursdays from 10am-2pm.

Parents may enroll their students for the 2026-2027 school year. This website will walk you through the steps to enroll your child. Families who reside outside Plano's district must complete an out-of-district request. These requests are based upon enrollment capacity.
