This presentation will help you better understand the identification process.
At North Warren, we test ALL students either at the end of 3rd grade or the beginning of 4th grade. We give the NNAT2 to test for General Intelligence and the Williams to test for Creativity. We also give all of those students a sociogram to measure Leadership qualities. Every time students STAR test (from kindergarten through 6th grade), I monitor those results as well. We are always looking for students who are gifted and how we can identify them. Students do not have to be identified in the 4th grade. We never stop looking for giftedness while they are at North Warren!
