About Mrs. Miller

Hello Jaguars!  My name is Shannon Miller and I am the library media specialist here at Natcher.  It has been a dream of mine for many years to be a librarian in an elementary school and I couldn't be happier to serve the families, students and staff here at Natcher!

I'd love to tell you a little bit about myself.  I am originally from Hardinsburg, Kentucky in Breckinridge County.  I graduated from Breckinridge County High School in 1997.  I earned both my bachelor's in elementary education and master's in library media education degrees from Western Kentucky University in 2003 and 2007.

The 2023-2024 School year will be my 21st year of teaching and my 7th year here in the library at Natcher.  Prior to coming to Natcher, I spent 14 years teaching at Eastern Elementary in Barren County.  During my tenure there, I taught Kindergarten for one year, 3rd Grade for 8 years and then my last 5 years were as the Math Intervention Specialist there.

My family and I have lived in Bowling Green for the last 26 years and am so grateful to be teaching in a place I love!  I live here with my husband Ralph, who is a member of the Kentucky National Guard, and two children.  Katie is 15 and a Sophomore at Greenwood High School, and Noah is 11 and a 6th Grade student here at Natcher.
