Hi! My name is Mrs. Rebecca Fields, and I teach general music and choir at Drakes Creek Middle School. This will be my 18th year teaching music and choir in Kentucky and my 16th year at Drakes Creek. I completed my Bachelor's of Music Education degree at Murray State University, and a Master of Music in Education at Western Kentucky University as a graduate student to Dr. Paul Hondorp, Director of Choral Activities. I have also finished a Rank 1 in Secondary Education from Western Kentucky University. In addition to teaching at Drakes Creek, I have been an adjunct vocal instructor at Western Kentucky University from 2010-2012.
My favorite things: Family, Friends, Church, My students, Singing, Performing, the beach, camping, travel, a good book, movies, Italian food (yum!)
I have also been happily married to Brent Fields, a Pastor of Missions and Outreach at Rich Pond Baptist Church, for eight years. We have a little boy named Andrew, a little girl named Elizabeth, and also own a yellow labrador retriever named Layla. She also teaches piano and voice lessons outside of school in her home. Mrs. Fields also enjoys singing Southern Gospel Music with her family in a group called The Garmons. We travel to different churches and events throughout the region singing and leading worship.
