His title is Chief Digital Officer but to the educators and students across the Commonwealth, he is one of the Chief Cheerleaders. He is one of the biggest influencers of innovation and digital leadership in KY schools. He is the 2016 KySTE Making It Happen Award Winner, champion supporter of the Student Technology Leadership Program, co-creator of KY’s Digital Drivers’ License curriculum, and co-author of the recently published book, The Digital Citizenship Handbook for School Leaders: Fostering Positive Interactions Online.

Since the age of four, Gracie Lile has been discovering the power of spoken words: everything from championing technology in the classroom and student voice to inspiring young learners to do less consuming and more contributing in the world. Hoping to instill her love of learning in other children, she taught her first class to students when she was only 5 years old; since then, she has spoken at multiple universities, schools, classrooms, and conferences across the nation. Now a 7th grader, Gracie’s latest passion is exploring tech tools that will allow her special needs friends to become independent, motivated and empowered learners for life.
