We at Eastridge respond to the needs of our kids in a way that shows compassion and teaches accountability. By using empathy we strive to understand our students’ perspectives and as well as their desire to master self-regulation. We believe students can understand, manage, and master their socio-emotional well-being by employing preventative measures to teach and modeling positive behaviors to emulate. We believe aligning the school, student, and family serve to strengthen the student both academically and socially.

The school counselor will provide opportunities for the academic, career, and social/emotional development of every student through the delivery of comprehensive school counseling program. I deliver direct services to students, provide administrative consultation, facilitate staff collaboration, and coordinate parent engagement as outlined in the American School Counselor Association National and Indiana School Counseling Association Model. The school counselor will assist in professional development regarding socio-emotional well-being of students. The school counselor serves as a "safe space" and "open door" for both students and staff. The mission of the guidance department is to develop a community of lifelong learners who will positively impact society. The school counselor serves as the socio-emotional leader of their school that consistently looks at cultural relevance and student equity.
