REQUIRED READING THIS SUMMERÂ Â
Choose a minimum of TWO👇Â
You will be responsible for the reading once school starts, so taking notes or using sticky notes to remember the story is recommended!
Summer reading expectations revolve around maintaining and improving reading skills. A recommendation is to read for at least 20 minutes daily, aiming for 500 minutes over the entire summer. Some studies suggest that reading at least six books can help prevent reading skills from declining.Â

Here are your reflection questions:
Science: In this book, how did the characters explore or solve a problem using a step-by-step approach? If you were in their situation, what's one thing you might have tried differently? Do you think that would have changed what happened in the end?
Technology: Imagine the technology in this book suddenly appeared at Warren-Walker School. How could we use it to make things better or more interesting for students or teachers?
Engineering: Think about a cool gadget or system in the story. Can you describe how it works to someone who hasn't read the book?
Art: Did any of the pictures or descriptions in the book remind you of something you learned about art last year? Tell me about the connection!
Math: Give me a six-word summary of the book. Then, tell me one way the type of math in the story could be useful in real life.
