What is the WHS VTC?
Wareham High School's Viking Theatre Company, or referred to as WHS VTC, is Wareham High School's very own drama club.
What does the VTC do?
Every year, the VTC produces numerous shows ranging, such as fall plays, festival productions, spring musicals, variety shows.
When shows do you produce?
In a typical season, the VTC produce five shows. The VTC produces a variety show fundraiser in October, a fall play in December, a festival production in March, a spring musical in May, and a Senior Showcase in May. Specific productions differ every season as chosen between the advisor(s) and students in collaboration.
When are rehearsals & auditions?
Rehearsals typically run every Monday and Thursdays from 2:30 to 5:30 in the Wareham High School Auditorium, but every week is different. Auditions occur months prior to productions depending on the VTC season. Announcements will be made about auditions via Google Classroom, assorted posters hung around Wareham High School, and the morning announcements.
How does a student join?
A student can join the VTC by attending club meetings and joining the Google Classroom. A student can join the club at any point during the season. The VTC has an assortment of fun activities and tasks that need to completed, there is bound to be one perfect for each student. Actors must audition for roles and department heads must apply for positions.
How does someone purchase tickets for shows?
Tickets can be purchased outside the auditorium thirty (30) minutes prior to the start of all shows or may be purchased in advance online here.
When do the "doors open" for shows?
"Doors open", meaning you may enter the auditorium to be seated, thirty (30) minutes prior to the start of every production.
Does the VTC need any help?
Yes! The VTC needs as many hands as they can get. The VTC would greatly appreciate physical, technical, or financial donations; any technical support in lighting, sound, set, costume, props, etc.; meals & snacks for students for technical rehearsals; etc. All inquiries on this matter should be sent to the VTC Advisor, Candy.
