Student notices...released every Monday.
Go to the till as normal to buy your lunch. You are encouraged to check your balance first if you are unsure if you have enough. (We are working to install some stations for you to check your balance before entering the servery areas soon!).
If the till shows that there is no money on your account, do not panic.
Stay calm and tell the till staff or duty staff straight away that you have no funds.
A member of staff will help you immediately.
They will contact either the Headteacher or one of the Deputy Headteachers - Mr Wynne Willson, Ms Fitzgerald, Mr Sorrell, or Ms Simmons. (If one of these staff members is not available they will get one of the Assistant Headteachers to help you).
You will not be sent away on your own or expected to sort this out yourself.
You will be taken to the school office with a member of staff.
The office team will contact your parent or carer.
They will ask them to transfer money to your lunch account.
Once the money has been added:
You will be given a lunch form by the office. (If the funds are still not showing they will use the form to record what you have and this will be entered later that day).
Take this form back to the till.
Show the form to the till staff.
As long as the money is showing on your account or the office have confirmed that funds have been transferred, you can:
Buy your lunch as normal
Choose what you would usually have
If the school is unable to contact your parent or carer:
You will be given a lunch loan. You will take the lunch loan form back to the tills where the till staff will record what you will have .
The lunch loan:
Is up to £2.65 only.
Can be used on a meal deal or food item up to the value of £2.65 only.
Lunch loans are limited, you cannot be issued more than two loans until a balance has been cleared.
Till staff will help you make an appropriate choice if needed.
This process is in place to support you.
You will always be able to eat lunch.
Staff will handle the situation discreetly and respectfully.
Lunch loans are only for situations where funds cannot be added at the time. This process is not applicable at break time.
