A: Please see below for a few troubleshooting tips you can try to see if they remedy the issue. If none of these suggestions work for you, please contact parentportal@wantaghschools.org.
It is possible that you cannot be heard during the Google Met because microphone access has been denied. Please ensure that microphone access is allowed for Google Meet. You can verify this by going to www.meet.google.com and clicking the padlock icon to the left of the www.meet.google.com link.
Check to see if your Chromebook has any updates. If there is an update available, update your Chromebook, and then a restart will be required to complete the installation of the update. You may refer to this interactive tutorial for a walk-through of how to check and complete the installation of updates.
It is possible that you cannot hear anything on the Google Meet due to the sound on your Chromebook being muted. This could happen by the key under #9 being accidentally pressed. You can make the volume on the Chromebook higher by pressing the key under #11 or making the volume lower with the key under #10.
Perform a hard reset. It will restart your Chromebook hardware (like your keyboard and touchpad). You may refer to this interactive tutorial for a walk-through of how to perform the hard reset.

Answer: ABC Ya games are able to be played for free on computer desktops or laptops. When you try to access the games using the ABC Ya app, it only offers limited games and then you must pay for a subscription. If you would like to play any games we suggest using a laptop to access them.
Answer: The best thing to do in this situation is to download the Chrome browser for free. You can access the download by clicking here. Using the Chrome browser, you can switch between Chrome accounts seamlessly and each Google user can choose their own account when they need to access Google. Use this tutorial to see how. When you click on the Chrome circle to the top right of the bar, you can switch between profiles you set for each member of your family.
Answer: Your teacher may have not given you access to edit or view this file. You can ask them for access if this is a mistake. Also, you must be logged into your Wantagh Google account in order to access any files posted by your teacher, so please check to make sure another account isn't logged in on your device.
